Tee & Stephanie Pierce
After being raised in Bayou Blue Assembly and not attending for some years, Stephanie, along with her husband Anthony whom she married in April 1991, began attending Bayou Blue Assembly in November 1995. Six months later, Stephanie began working in the nursery where she worked until both she and Anthony began working in children’s ministry later that year. In 1996, they began using their personal vehicles to transport individuals to church and after only one year, Stephanie and Anthony had the amazing opportunity to start a van ministry. As the van ministry grew, space became increasingly limited so the church purchased the first bus and then a second bus several years later. Today, Bayou Blue Assembly’s Bus Ministry is still thriving, picking up individuals for Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services.
Through the years, Stephanie and Anthony have had the opportunity to participate in various outreaches and community events. After being involved in Christian clubs and mentoring at several public schools, The Axis Project Inc., a nonprofit, was established in 2016. Through “The Axis Project”, they are involved in Christian clubs and mentorship opportunities at five local, public schools where they meet with students weekly to build relationships while sharing the love of Christ. They also participate in Bible Quiz as part of the Bayou Blue Assembly of God Co-Op and have established a mentor program for a diverse group of students which focuses on Christian character, leadership skills, and serving our community.
Both Stephanie and Anthony are pursuing their goal of becoming credentialed Assemblies of God ministers through Louisiana School of Ministry. They are excited about the future as they look ahead enjoying every day with their children and grandchildren. They love camping, playing board games, BBQ’S, and just spending time with family and friends.
