Welcome to Bayou Blue Assembly of God Children’s Ministry. Our mission is to be examples and make disciples. In the Children’s Ministry Department our kids are “GREAT kids”.
1 John 4:4 lets our children know that they are of God and that He who is in them is GREATer than he who is in the world. The desire of our hearts is for your child to have a relationship with God and others.
Our team of adult leaders and youth volunteers work together to create an exciting atmosphere which will give the children an opportunity for praise and worship, learn the Bible, build a relationship with God and have fun doing so. Each class is age appropriate. Our Kids Ministries are designed with kids in mind!
Children growing up in today’s technology are very visual individuals; therefore, we use many different methods to teach. Some methods include puppetry, illusions, object lessons, games, characters, and video illustrations. All of these bring forth the message for each service.
We have many different areas where your child can have fun and be discipled to become a leader. There are many events throughout the year that our kids take part in, such as camps, outreaches, and Kid’s Fun Arts.
Kids’ churches are offered on Sundays during the 11:00 AM service as follows:
l Toddler Church – 2 years of age
l Jr. Kids Church – 3&4 years of age
l Kids Church – 5-10 years of age
l Tween Church - 11-13 years of age
During the 9:00 AM service there is Sunday Morning Live provided for ages 2 and up. For infants 0-23 months we have workers in the infant nursery area for all three Sunday services and Wednesday night classes. Wednesday night classes provided are separated for the boys and girls. The girls attend M-Pact Girls Ministry and the boys attend Adventure Club for Boys.
Children’s Ministry is designed not only for the children, but for parents/guardians to have complete confidence that their child is being taken care of and learning while they are enjoying the adult service and classes.
